A Morning Ritual
Each morning I spend some alone time to:
-Prioritize my day
-Write a bit in my gratitude journal
-Pull a card
Along with meditation/prayer and exercise it is a great way to start your day!
Shuffle the cards in any way you like...then you can spread them out and choose one, Choose the one on top or let the cards divide on their own and choose the one in the split. There is no set method...use the one you like best.
The meaning of the card is a metaphor for your day. Study the image, The number has meaning (reference the card in the deck that lists the meaning of the numbers) and the color is important. The colors represent the Chakras (energy centers in the body and just beyond). Sometimes if I want a bit more info. on the first card I choose a second or third card for clarity.
Let the imagery and the information be in the forefront of your mind for the entire day...if the card says REST then give yourself permission to rest, if it has the number 5 in it then be prepared for change, if the color is orange than all the traits of the Second Chakra (Sacral Chakra) will be relevant for the day.
Keep a journal and each day write down the card you chose...this will in time tell a story. This practice keeps you centered, in the moment and empowered!
A Reading for Yourself or Client
Do you want to get the heart of the matter? Using the cards when you are in need of guidance is a great way to ground and clarify.
A Specific Question:
I start with an intention...a question or situation. Ask out loud and be as clear and specific as possible. Shuffle the cards. Choose three. The first one represents the recent past, the second one the present and the third on is the advise. Remember to study the imagery, the number and the color of each card.
A General Reading:
This is a reading where you or your client does not have a specific question or perhaps has too many questions and does not know where to start. We can go general. Pull three cards, Use the same method as above. You will see and feel what the question is. This helps to direct you towards asking high priority questions. Asking the 'right' question is often the beginning of the perfect solution. You can do these spreads a few times in a reading to continue to gain more clarity and confirmation.
Feel free to contact me with further questions on how to use the cards. Workshops and video tutorials on how to use the cards are in the works and will be announced soon!
